I have loved all art and craft since I can remember. My nan taught me to crochet when I was seven yrs old, fifty years ago. I fell seriously in love with crochet 30 yrs ago. I taught myself to read patterns, I have written a few and collected so many of them plus yarn. I have taught people on and off over the years but have been teaching crochet full time the last couple. After filling in for a Tutor at 2025 River Yarn Festival I am excited to be back for 2026.

Conference Room, Shalom House of Prayer
Create beautiful blankets composed of mesmerising hexagons, squares and triangles in a variety of colour. During this workshop you will crochet four larger squares, smaller squares, and enough triangle motifs to make the front of a square cushion cover. You will be provided with a kit that includes more than enough yarn to get you started (10 x 50 g balls, 2 x 100 g balls), hooks, stitch markers and the pattern — all of which is yours to take home. Just bring along scissors and a darning needle. This will be a fun workshop, in a supportive environment with expert instruction. The pattern is not for complete beginners, some crochet experience is necessary.
